The Comprehensive Plan is the official guide for future growth and development for the City of Savage. It is an on-going planning tool that provides direction and vision as to how the City will develop and grow and creates a framework for future decisions. It includes overall principles that reflect the City's desired policy direction, as well as specific plans and recommendations to implement that direction. It indicates in a general way how the community will grow in the next 20 years.

The 2020 Comp Plan was adopted in 1999 and the draft 2030 Comp Plan which will replace the 2020 plan, is currently being reviewed by the Metropolitan Council for final approval.
