Minnesota River
Update - Monday, April 4
- Current Conditions: The river has crested and levels continue to fall.
- Minnesota River Current Level: 709.95 feet above sea level.
- Forecast: A second crest, lower than the first, is expected to occur later this week.

Eagle Creek
Impacts: A portion of the Highway 101 Frontage Road is closed. Businesses may still be accessed.
Credit River
Water level of the Credit River continues to fluctuate. At latest check, the river was receding. Potential impacts: Properties along the banks of the Credit River could be flooded if water levels rise again. Contact Public Works at 224-3400 with concerns.

Road Updates
Savage roads

Closed Scott County roads:
- Highway 101 river crossing Shakopee - effective 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 23
- CR 86 between 91 and Beard Avenue
- MN Highway 19 between Henderson and MN Highway 169
- CR 9 at the Jordan river crossing
Reopened Scott County roads:
- CR 85 between 260th and 270th Street
- Lucerne Trail between Birch Lane and Laredo Path (Lakeville)
- Highway 41 into Chaska
- CR 51 between Hwy 19 and CR 1
- CR 6 between Belle Plaine and Stoppelmann Blvd.
- Newport Ave. between 233rd and 240th St.
Sandbags
The Savage Public Works Department has sand and sandbags available for property owners in the city. Those needing sand and sandbags should call Savage Public Works at 952.224.3400. Public Works staff will evaluate the home or business owner's situation and will provide sand and sandbags if needed. The bags will not be filled, but the City will assist with securing volunteers to help residents and business owners with this if needed. Information on filling sandbags and constructing a dike.
Flood Maps and Property Information
Flood zone mapping for Savage is prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA). FEMA flood maps are available on-line at FEMA’s Map Service website. There are areas within Savage that are not designated by FEMA as a flood hazard area but could still be subject to flooding. To find out what flood zone your property is located in, please contact the Savage Planning Division, Savage City Hall, at 952.882.2698 or 952.882.2692. The Planning Division can also provide information about the location of your property in relation to the flood plain, elevations, flood maps and flood plain management for property owners.
