The City of Savage has a Paid-On-Call Fire Department consisting of 40 firefighters who either live or work in the City of Savage. There are two fire stations within the City located at 13105 Dakota Ave and 14321 O'Connell Road.
The Savage Fire Department expects a very high level of professional conduct from our members. Each member is required to be familiar with and abide by all Fire Department rules, regulations, policies, and operating procedures. These stringent guidelines ensure that when duty calls, the community's firefighters will be thoroughly prepared to meet the challenge that lies ahead.

Mission and Value Statements
To have the least possible loss of life and property due to fire, manmade and natural disasters, and life threatening situations for the citizens/visitors of Savage.
The Savage Fire Department expects a very high level of professional conduct from all members. Each member shall familiarize him or herself with, and abide by, all regulations, policies and operating procedures of the Savage Fire Department.

Fire Department Events
June 23 - 26, 2011
The Savage Fire Department has been very active in past Dan Patch Days celebrations and 2011 was no different.
Saturday's event included neighborhood water fights. Several members of the community put together a four-person team and competed against each other.
We also had a Safe Escape trailer for the kids to enjoy, thanks to the Prior Lake Fire Department for the use of the trailer.
On Sunday morning, June 26, we hosted an open house and our annual pancake breakfast. This year's breakfast was held at our new Dakota Avenue fire station. We served over 1100 people in 4 hours.
Our 2011 open house was Tuesday October 4th at our O'Connell Road Fire Station.
Thia years event was a lot of fun, we had fantastic weather and a great turnout, over 450 people attended.
There was a lot of interest in the fire extinguisher and residential sprinkler demonstrations and the fire trucks rides, as always, were a big hit!
